Job Title: Sr. Full Stack Developer

Disaster Tech is a veteran-owned, practitioner-led Software-as-a-Service company that provides emergency managers, oil and gas industry leaders, and the Department of Defense with innovative tools to maximize training, save lives, build resiliency, and protect the environment.
Summary:
A highly skilled web application programmer who is comfortable with both front and back end programming. Candidate has a high degree of comfort with complex web application development and fluency with data science practices is mandatory. Candidate will be responsible for implementation for front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside Senior Developers, Data Scientists, and CTO. Candidate will be required to monitor and manage a project from specification to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications:
· 4-7 years' experience in a customer-facing SaaS production environment
· Essential: React, Node.js, or other modern event-driven JavaScript programming frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc.)
· Essential: Modern CSS technology (examples: Grid and/or Flexbox)
· Essential: Demonstrated experience with relational databases and table design (example: Postgres)
· Self-motivated individual with experience working in a dynamic startup environment.
· Demonstrated personal commitment to code testing, best practices, and maintaining production-quality workflow.
· Demonstrated commitment to user-centered design and adherence to core usability heuristics.
· Knowledge of and experience with agile software development principles and associated practices (examples: test-driven development, pair programming, and design patterns)
· Familiarity with Python
· Knowledge/experience of Geo-spatial visualization technologies (example: Mapbox GL JS)
· Knowledge/experience of cloud-based infrastructure (examples: Azure functions, Azure pipelines, Azure Service Bus, ARM templates)
Education/Desired Experience:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or equivalent experience
· Technical experience in developing enterprise level applications
· Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
· Understanding of agile software development concepts and processes
· Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills

Executes all activities related to code-level management, security, containerization and maintaining cloud infrastructure for various Disaster Tech products
Basic Qualifications:
· 4+ years of experience with DevSecOps & release management: design, test, build, deploy, repeat in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)
· 2 years of experience with a configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible or Chef
· Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
· Experience with security assessments, vulnerability mitigations and risk management
· 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline development
· Experience with capacity planning, load testing and stress testing
· Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies
· Experience scripting, configuring and patching Linux and Windows machines
· Experience configuring and backup/recovery of Prometheus and Grafana monitoring
Education/Desired Experience:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or equivalent experience
· Security+ or CISSP highly desired
· Technical experience in developing enterprise level applications
· Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
